USCIS Continues to Accept FY 2011 H-1B Petitions

U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) announced that it continues to accept H-1B nonimmigrant petitions subject to the Fiscal Year 2011 (FY2011) cap. USCIS will monitor the number of petitions received for both the 65,000 general cap and the 20,000 U.S. master’s degree or higher educational exemption.

USCIS has received as of October 15, 2010 approximately 42,800 H-1B petitions counting toward the 65,000 cap. The agency has received approximately 15,700 petitions for individuals with advanced degrees.

 

Diversity Visa Lottery Registration Remains Open until 11/3/2010

The registration period for the Fiscal Year 2012 Diversity Visa Lottery which began on 10/05/2010 will end on November 3, 2010 at 12:00pm EDT. Foreign nationals who wish to participate in the lottery must submit their applications online at http://dvlottery.state.gov within the registration period in order to be considered for this program.

 

New USCIS Filing Fee Schedule Goes in Effect on 11/23/2010

Effective 11/23/2010, the filing fees associated with the filing of applications with the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) will increase. We attach the new filing fee schedule for your reference.
